Calling all solopreneurs, creators, freelancers, and artists! Do you love the freedom of what you do, yet sometimes yearn for more support?

The Wabi-sabi Workplace is for you!

With co-working sessions four times a week, weekly workshops and a friendly network to plug into.

You’ll get to work alongside a group of fellow freelancers, while keeping the autonomy of working alone. The best of both worlds.

Co-working sessions on Zoom

There are four, 2-hour, co-working sessions each week. Working together in a companionable silence on our own projects. Some sessions will be followed by a workshop, if there’s no workshop we’ll add an informal coffee-break, a chance to chat about our work. Check each week for exact dates and times.

Wednesday 16.00-18.00
Thursday 10.00-12.00
Friday 14.00-16.00

Weekly workshops

You are invited to two 1-hour workshops each week.Workshops will also be recorded in case you don’t make it.

We’ll be looking at shared issues and dilemmas that face us running Buddhist businesses. Such as; alternatives to social media, ways to keep creative at work, how to run a calm yet profitable business. As well as practical issues, like getting our head around SEO, easy bookkeeping and running a mailing list.

Peer support

Working alone we can long for someone to talk through our business dilemmas with. In the Wabi-sabi Workplace you’ll find a bunch of people you can run your ideas by, get advice or share your own skills with.

One-to-one coaching:
It may be that you would benefit from one-to-one coaching. This is not included in the membership but I can offer one-to-one sessions alongside it.

Vajradarshini on the allotment

Hi, I’m Vajradarshini,

I’ve run an online business teaching creative approaches to Dharma practice for the last eight years. Before that I’d always worked in teams. So which do I prefer?

I’d prefer to have the best of both worlds, which is where you come in. I loved the freedom and autonomy of working alone... but then I longed for pals to work alongside.

In the Wabi-sabi workplace I’ve been joined by a bunch of creative entrepreneurs, from the UK, Germany and Seattle. Between us we have a huge number of skills: web-design, animation, writing, teaching (online and live) and creating community.

And together we are learning about SEO, mailing lists, marketing, accounting and all the nuts and bolts of running a business.

The Wabi-sabi Workplace is for you if you are Buddhist (or even Buddhish) and navigating how to run an ethical business that supports practice and gives you a decent income.

I hope you’ll join us!

P.S. I’m in the process of writing more about the wabi-sabi aspect of this project. But in a nutshell, wabi-sabi is my shorthand for authentic, human, slow, small-scale and soulful. If you want to make 6-figures this might not be the place for you!
