Offering the Mandala
- 4 day retreat
Venue - The Guesthouse, Southern Sweden
There's a traditional Buddhist ritual called offering the mandala: you create a mandala representing your whole life, then offer it up and let it all go. On this retreat, we'll explore that same paradox — wholehearted engagement alongside open-handed release.
We can see our lives as a mandala: a pattern arranged around a central value. Over these days, we'll each get to ask ourselves — what is at the heart of my life now? What do I want to place there? And what needs to move towards the outer edges?
Our lives, ourselves, are an ever-changing pattern. It's time to build a life we love, while learning to hold it all lightly.
Silence
After arriving and taking time to get to know one another, we'll move into silence for 48 hours, coming back together to talk later on the final full day of the retreat.
Who is this retreat suitable for?
This retreat is suitable for anyone with an established meditation practice and some basic Dharma knowledge. It is not an intensive meditation retreat.
“Everything that shows up in your mandala is a vehicle for your awakening. From this point of view awakening is right at your fingertips continually.”
