Rent The Garden House
The Garden House is available for solitaries, small retreats and holidays from the middle of May 2026.
It is a beautifully light-filled space, with windows facing east, south, and west, and is surrounded by gardens.
The garden covers two acres in the beautiful Österlen countryside. It includes pathways through established flowerbeds, a small vegetable and herb garden, many fruit trees, and mature oak, birch, poplar, maple, and beech trees that provide welcome shade in warmer weather.
Accomodation
The house
The living area has a vaulted ceiling, enhancing the sense of openness and light. There’s a comfy sofa, armchairs, books and games. The Garden House also has its own fast speed wi-fi.
There are two double bedrooms; one is located on a mezzanine level accessed by a stepladder. Downstairs, you have your own bathroom with a shower and all the bathroom essentials.
There’s a compact kitchen equipped with a fridge, hob, oven, and grill and everything you need to prepare simple meals. You’ll find most of the basics, like salt, olive oil, vinegar and a selection of herbs and spices.
Also a area looking out onto the flower garden
The Garden
In summer, you are very welcome to spend time in the garden, where there are several lovely places to sit and rest. The Garden House also includes an outdoor dining area beneath a pergola covered in grapevines, along with a BBQ and a small outdoor fireplace.
In winter, you can enjoy the snowy landscape while staying warm and cosy indoors, with underfloor heating throughout the house.
The library
You are welcome to borrow books from our library during your stay. We have a well-chosen selection of Dharma books, as well as books on nature, art, creativity, poetry, and more. There is also a small DVD library, and a TV and DVD player that you can bring out if you feel like watching a film.
Practical details
Privacy
The Garden House runs parallel to our own home, which faces in a different direction, so there are no windows overlooking your space. We are familiar with retreat practice, and our own lifestyle is quiet and retreat-like. If you come for a retreat we are happy to fully respect your privacy and silence if that is what you wish, while also being open to connection if that feels supportive.
Travel
If you are arriving by public transport, we are happy to collect you from the nearest train station and take you shopping for supplies. For retreats longer than a week, we can also do a weekly food shop for you. There is a well-stocked pantry available if you find you are missing something.
